William Shakespeare (26 April 1564 – 23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. His works consist of about 38 plays,154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and two epitaphs. His reputation did not rise to its present heights until the 19th century. He came down with a horrible fever that later killed him.
Christopher Marlowe
Christopher Marlowe (26 February 1564 – 30 May 1593) was an English dramatist, poet and translator of the Elizabethan era. Marlowe's plays are known for the use of blank verse, and their overreaching protagonists. Marlowe is often alleged to have been a government spy! Marlowe was known to be an atheist, which, at that time, held the dangerous implication of being an enemy of God. He was stabbed to death on May 30th.
