Humanism is an outlook on more living things and the human being rather than spiritual or faithful things. That is what the renaissance was about. Medieval Italian writers Dante, Giovanni Boccaccio, and Francesco Petrarch all had a part in the creation of humanism. After the writers came up with humanism, it began in Florence in 1450. European scholars became interested in studying the world they lived in, their art was more life based and they began to explore new places.
The medieval age was all about religion and every thing was based on faith. Humanism started to get people to think about the world they lived in and the human race. In both they where focused on one base but they are two very different bases.
